The shows have been rescheduled for next weekend

Bon Jovi has postponed both of this weekend’s This House Is Not For Sale tour stops at Madison Square Garden due to illness. Jon Bon Jovi (JBJ) has been suffereing from bronchitis since last weekend as has decided to reschedule the shows set for Friday and Saturday, April 7th and 8th.

“Based on doctors’ recommendations, Bon Jovi’s concerts at Madison Square Garden (on Friday, April 7th and Saturday, April 8th) must unfortunately be rescheduled, due to the bronchitis that Jon Bon Jovi has been fighting,” the band’s website reads. “The decision was difficult to make, but made in the interest of delivering the full, powerhouse performance for which Bon Jovi is known.”

Tickets purchased for April 7th will be honored on Thursday, April 13th and April 8th tickets will be honored on Saturday, April 15th.

On Wednesday (April 5th), the band cut short its two and a half hour set in Pittsburgh due to JBJ’s sore throat. The singer told that evening’s crowd that he had been suffering from a cold since Saturday, but would keep pushing on.

“This is the day when I need a karaoke singer. Which one of you guys in a bar band knows all the words to Bon Jovi songs?” he said as he invited a fan to sing on stage to sing “Born To Be My Baby.”

The band wrapped after 90 minutes with a crowd sing along of “Livin’ On A Prayer” as JBJ addressed the crowd. “I want to thank you for your kindness. I’m sorry we couldn’t do the full show tonight. God bless you all.”
