Most of the 2025 festival was canceled due to extreme weather conditions
The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival will return to The Farm in Manchester, Tennessee, from June 11-14, 2026. The future of the long-running multi-genre festival was unknown after the 2025 edition was canceled on day two after severe weather and flooding impacted festival grounds.
After requesting the public’s feedback, organizers say they are planning to make improvements to the festival grounds while other aspects will remain unchanged.
“Campsites located in areas most affected by flooding will not be utilized. This will result in a reduced capacity on The Farm (more dancing space). Camping entry and programming in Outeroo will begin on Wednesday. We’ll kick things off Thursday evening on the What Stage with an epic welcome party. All other Centeroo stages will be programmed in full from Friday through Sunday with your traditional Centeroo Experience. The Where in the Woods UFO Stage will be making its landing in Centeroo. This will take the place of the Infinity Stage and feature late-night DJs and dance parties. The Where in the Woods space will continue to serve as a relaxation haven in Outeroo. Centeroo and the caliber of artists you expect from us will remain very similar to previous years,” they write.
Following the cancellation of an event due to Hurricane Ida in 2021, The Farm embarked on a comprehensive initiative to enhance its resilience against severe weather. The organization consulted with drainage and land management experts to develop a multi-million-dollar, multi-year plan to improve conditions during heavy, sustained rain. Since then, projects have been consistently implemented after each festival. While these improvements have yielded positive results, The Farm acknowledges that further work is still needed.
In the upcoming 2025/2026 off-season, The Farm will allocate an additional multi-million-dollar budget to initiate further improvements. These efforts will prioritize the campgrounds and other areas significantly affected by extreme weather in 2025. Key projects slated for this period include reseeding the property, increasing road access within the campgrounds, adding more drainage, and reinforcing primary water runoff pathways.
Weather experts have confirmed that the region saw record-setting rainfall this spring and early summer, making what Bonnaroo attendees experienced extremely uncommon.
“We appreciate your feedback on future Bonnaroo dates, and we heard you loud and clear that your strong preference is to keep Bonnaroo in June,” they state. “All things considered, our traditional June time frame remains the most optimal time of year for Bonnaroo.”
Live Nation confirmed that full refunds and parking tickets for single-day admission from June 13-15, 2025, would be refunded. Those with four-day admission and camping passes would receive a 75% refund. All refunds will be automatically issued to their original payment form and may take up to 30 days. However, after fan pushback, including a change.org petition, Live Nation decided to refund all attendees who held tickets for Friday through Sunday in full.
