Song drops Jan 18th

Bret Michaels will release his highly-anticipated new single “Back In The Day” on Wednesday, January 18th. The same day will see the exclusive world premiere of the song’s video which was co-directed and co-edited by the rock star. To celebrate, Michaels will host a Facebook Live event with fans the same day with additional details to follow.

Michaels first unveiled the news about the reflective song in a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk.

“I write with the solo band, we write all the time, every day. I’m always dumping music into my phone,” he says. “I’ll come up with a beat. I’ll be like (beatboxes) always writing something in my head. And I’m hoping with Poison we’ll get to do that. We with the band, Pete [Evick], and myself, wrote a brand new song called ‘Back in the Day.’ It’s just a through back road trip anthem and when people here this, it’s just a great good feeling party song. It’s a great rock song.”

This summer, Michaels will launch his 2023 Parti Gras Tour with special guests Night Ranger and Jefferson Starship with special appearances from former Journey frontman Steve Augeri and Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, plus a nightly surprise guest. Presented by Live Nation, the 12-city limited date run kicks off on Thursday, July 13th at the one and only Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI.

On the trek, Michaels will offer exclusive VIP packages with side stage viewing and meet and greets with the singer.

Michaels says the party will start in the parking lot with people in “tiki hut golf carts” handing out Mardi Gras beads to concertgoers. Inside the venue, there will be various parties and contests, including a Dress Like Bret Contest where the winner will join BMB and special guests on stage to sing “Nothin’ But A Good Time” at the end of the night.
