The country star returns with a new song
Brett Young is back with a powerful new release, “Tastes Like You,” via Nashville Harbor Records & Entertainment. The haunting ballad, written by Young alongside Justin Ebach, Noah Needleman, and Jon Nite, delves deep into the raw emotions of a heartbroken soul struggling to move on after a breakup.
Every moment and every memory seem to bring traces of her back, and even the simplest things – like the taste of a drink – triggers the overwhelming feeling of loss. With its heartbreaking lyrics and aching melody, “Tastes Like You” taps into the senses to paint a vivid picture of how love lingers long after it’s gone, capturing the heartache and pain that comes with the loss of someone unforgettable.
“‘Tastes Like You’ is about not being able to get over somebody after a breakup because they are attached to all of your favorite things,” shares Young. “They are in every place and every thing.”
As he prepares for the highly anticipated opening night of his Back To Basics World Tour 2025 on February 13th in Springfield, IL, fans can expect a true worldwide journey. The tour will make stops across the U.S., Canada, Australia, Europe, and the UK – where his hit single “In Case You Didn’t Know” was recently certified gold. Earlier this week, Young announced that fellow country acts Kylie Morgan and Ryan and Rory will act as support on select dates of the tour.
True to his style, the Back To Basics World Tour 2025 offers a more stripped back, personal concert experience, showcasing a different kind of live show than fans have seen in recent years from the country mainstay.
