'Brian Wilson: Live at the Roxy Theatre' to get deluxe reissue

The reissue honors one of music’s greatest American songwriters

Oglio Records will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Brian Wilson: Live at the Roxy Theatre with a remastered deluxe reissue on November 7th. The new version will be available as a 3 LP box set, 2 CD set, and digitally. This marks the first time the landmark live album will be available on vinyl.

Recorded across two unforgettable, sold-out nights in April 2000 at West Hollywood’s legendary Roxy Theatre, the album captured a once-in-a-lifetime moment: Brian Wilson, the genius co-founder of the Beach Boys, stepping onto a Sunset Strip stage for the first time in three decades.

Originally released in 2000, Live at the Roxy Theatre was Wilson’s first-ever live solo album, showcasing the magic of his timeless catalog performed in an intimate setting. Backed by his stellar ten-piece band, including the five-member group the Wondermints, Wilson delivered beloved Beach Boys classics like “California Girls,” “Surfer Girl,” “I Get Around,” and “Good Vibrations” alongside two new originals, “The First Time” and “This Isn’t Love.”

The new reissue not only revisits that landmark moment—it greatly expands upon it, with newly unearthed performances and tour recordings, as well as a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse of Wilson reflecting on the making of the record, broadening the scope of this historic era in Wilson’s return to the stage.

The 2 CD 25th Anniversary Edition presents the most comprehensive audio document of these legendary nights, featuring 40 tracks, including recordings from both concerts and On Tour bonus tracks. Alongside live versions of “California Girls,” “Don’t Worry Baby,” “God Only Knows,” and “Good Vibrations,” the set includes rarities like “Back Home,” “The First Time,” and “Add Some Music to Your Day,” plus On Tour bonus recordings of “Let It Shine,” “Drive-In,” “Soul Searchin’,” “Southern California,” and Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode.” The CDs will be presented in a six-panel wallet with expanded notes and credits.

The 3 LP edition includes 35 tracks, spanning Beach Boys classics, Wilson’s solo gems, and two On Tour bonus recordings of “Soul Searchin’” and “Southern California.” The set will be presented in a lift-off-lid rigid box with three jackets and a fold-out poster, marking this the definitive collector’s version.
