The six-part docuseries arrives on March 27th

J-Hope of 21st century pop icons BTS has revealed the main trailer for his highly-anticipated docuseries Hope on the Street.

Hope on the Street is a docuseries in which J-Hope, now in the 12th year of his career, explores “dance,” the core of his artistic roots and identity, as a lens to reflect on his past, present, and future. The docuseries marks a new beginning in his artistic journey as he explores the streets of Osaka (Japan), Paris (France), New York (USA), Seoul, and Gwangju (South Korea) and meets local street dancers who inspire him along the way.

In the trailer, J-Hope candidly expresses his intention behind the docuseries, saying, “I started with dance and that dancing led to many other things. I’m curious about it. What kind of dancing did I do and what are my roots? What is the future that I’m dreaming of?”

While connecting with diverse street dancers who are active and widely known in their respective dance styles, including popping, house, hip-hop, and locking, he uses dance as a form of communication and a way to find growth, commenting, “My heart is racing. It feels so new… I’d like to learn again, not just about dance, but it could be about life. I think it was a new process of learning.” Additionally, the trailer showcases J-Hope’s freestyle dance against the backdrop of the beautiful sceneries from each city.

As a visionary trendsetter, j-hope conceived the idea for the docuseries along with the accompanying album Hope on the Street Vol. 1, both of which are centered around the cohesive theme of ‘dance.’ Each episode of the docuseries and the tracks of the album are closely linked through their narrative, message, and sound. ‘Created By j-hope’ appearing at the end of the trailer further highlights his sincere dedication and commitment to this project. The docuseries will provide deeper insight into many facets of j-hope as an ever-evolving musician, dancer, and creator, adding a new level of depth to the artist’s narrative.

The first episode will be available worldwide in over 240 regions/countries on March 28th at midnight KST/March 27th at 11 am ET on Prime Video. The docuseries will be followed by the release of the special album Hope on the Street Vol. 1, slated for March 29th at 1 pm KST/midnight ET. The main track of the album “Neuron” with Gaeko and Yoonmirae reflects on J-Hope’s artistic roots and sources of motivation, along with his ambition towards a new beginning.
