Special album to be out on March 29th

BTS’ J-Hope has unveiled the track listing and highlight medley for his highly-anticipated special album Hope on the Street Vol 1. The project showcases a vibrant collection of six tracks spanning a diverse array of sounds and moods that showcase J-Hope’s musical prowess and depth. It also features a wide variety of artists from both his homeland and overseas bringing together multifaceted artistic influences, expanding his artistic spectrum.

The album opens with “On the Street (Solo Version),” J-Hope’s rendition of “On the Street (with J. Cole),” which was released back in March 2023, followed by “I Wonder…” with Jung Kook of BTS, “Lock / Unlock” with Benny Blanco, Nile Rodgers, and “I Don’t Know” with Huh Junjin of Le Sserafim. The album also includes “What If… (Dance Mix)” featuring the smooth vocals of South Korean singer-producer Jinbo and main track “Neuron” featuring legendary South Korean hip-hop veterans Gaeko of Dynamic Duo and Yoonmirae. A hopeful and poignant storyteller, J-Hope participated in the lyric and songwriting of the entire album, making it all the more special for his fans.

The title of the main track “Neuron” with Gaeko, Yoonmirae references the dance crew J-Hope was part of before debut, as well as the literal meaning of the word “neuron,” which generates electricity and delivers information when stimulated. “Neuron” with Gaeko, Yoonmirae is a track inspired by 2000s old-school hip hop, a genre that made a significant impact on j-hope as an artist. The track reflects the album’s theme of exploring J-Hope’s artistic roots, “street dance,” and delivers his motivation for life and a new start.

The special album dives into the theme of j-hope’s artistic roots, “street dance,” accompanied by a six-part docuseries Hope on the Street with its first episode due on March 27th at 11 am ET/March 28th at midnight on Prime Video. With the dual album and docuseries release, J-Hope is at the forefront of new trends, ready to make waves as a global trendsetter.
