The multifaceted artist expands his musical palette with seven tracks for his second solo album

Jimin of 21st century pop icons BTS has unveiled the tracklist for his second solo album Muse slated for release on July 19th via BigHit Music.

The track listing for Jimin’s upcoming album exudes a nostalgic vintage feel with the imagery of retro cassette tapes representing each track. Interconnected through the common theme of “love,” the album features a total of seven tracks—”Rebirth (Intro),” “Interlude: Showtime,” pre-release track “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” featuring Loco, “Slow Dance” featuring Sofia Carson, “Be Mine,” the main track “Who,” and “Closer Than This”—six of which Jimin participated in the songwriting.

“Who,” produced by Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and producer Jon Bellion, Pete Nappi, Tenroc, Pdogg, and GHSTLOOP, is a hip-hop R&B track characterized by its intense bounce and guitar sound.

The pre-release track “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” featuring Loco draws inspiration from a marching band, blending hip-hop elements with the big band sound characterized by a large-scale orchestra, creating an upbeat, lively rhythm and dynamic atmosphere. South Korean rapper Loco creates a unique synergy as a featured artist.

Muse includes contributions from Tommy Brown, who has produced hits for Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and The Weeknd. The album also features globally renowned multi-platinum American artist Sofia Carson on the track “Slow Dance (feat. Sofia Carson).” Additionally, Jimin once again teamed up with producers Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, and Evan, who contributed to his first solo album Face, which made him the first South Korean solo artist to top the Billboard Hot 100.

Jimin participated in the overall creation of Muse, continuing his path of self-discovery from his previous album to delve into the journey of finding the source of his inspiration. The album is expected to further solidify Jimin’s position as a multifaceted artist, through a blend of introspective themes and an expanded musical palette.
