New song is available now

Twenty-first century pop icons BTS have unveiled their new digital single “Take Two” in celebration of the 10th anniversary of their debut. The title of the song suggests the K-pop group’s moving onto their second chapter after the first one of a decade-long journey as artists. The single is an ode to their fans, Army, showing the septet’s gratitude to them.

“Take Two” is an acoustic pop genre song. Each member’s sweet voice and eloquent rapping sitting on tender acoustic sound amplify the septet’s sensibility. Suga participated in the overall production of the track with RM and J-Hope participating in the songwriting.

The band has teased the release of “Take Two” with a series of photos from each member’s memorable spot. “Light,” “Begin,” “Soul,” “Together,” “Face,” “Young,” or “Stay” is written on each photo as hints of the lyrics of the upcoming single.

The group has also unveiled a calendar for the BTS 10th Anniversary Festa (2023 BTS Festa). BTS Festa is an annual event celebrating the group’s debut — dated June 13, 2013 — with their Army. This year’s calendar is decorated with icons hinting at each event and/or content prepared for the fans. BTS will reveal various content specially prepared for their 10th anniversary from May 31st through June 17th. On June 17th, BTS Festa will be completed with a grand finale with an offline event in Seoul.

Last week, the group released “The Planet,” the soundtrack to the animated film Bastions. The song’s lyrics reflect on the importance of planet Earth and is now available digitally.

The band is currently on hiatus as each member fulfills their mandatory military service commitment to South Korea. Each will serve accordingly and release solo material before the global superstars are expected to reconvene in 2025.

The K-pop superstars’ BTS Exhibition: Proof in Los Angeles will continue through July 8th, giving visitors additional opportunities to celebrate all the moments in the group’s history that have brought them to their current global superstar status.
