Pre-release track is available now

BTS member Suga has pre-released “People Pt. 2” featuring IU, ahead of his upcoming first official solo album D-Day under his another moniker Agust D.

The album acts as the finale of the Agust D trilogy after his two previous mixtapes, Agust D (2016) and D-2 (2020). Suga participated in the songwriting of all tracks and the overall production of the album, sharing the unique sensibility and honest stories of Agust D as a true musician and producer.

“People Pt. 2″ is a boom bap rhythm-based pop R&B track featuring IU with her crystalline voice creating a beautiful balance overall. The track illustrates the constant repetition of states and emotions in relationships between people.

The pre-release track arrives with an accompanying music video that gives off a setting similar to a behind the scenes film. Suga is depicted in the music video in a number of moments sipping coffee, getting lost in his thoughts, and fully immersing himself in music. The music video evokes a comforting and serene ambience that mirrors the overall mood of the song.

“This song was written when I couldn’t do anything due to COVID-19 and when I thought ‘I lost everything’. So it conveys the message I wanted to tell myself,” the K-pop superstar shares.

Suga is set to star in the documentary film, Suga: Road to D-Day, premiering globally on Disney+ and Weverse on April 21st. The project captures the Suga on a musical journey following his road trip around the world. The film takes the viewers through the ins and outs of his creative process working on his highly anticipated solo album interspersed with live clips and more.
