Set for Jan 2022 release
HYBE and BTS have released the first teaser for 7Fates: CHAKHO, an original webcomic and webnovel, in one of the group’s first appearances since announcing hiatus earlier this month. It’s set for release in January 2022 via WEBTOON and Wattpad.
While new music and tours from BTS may be on pause, these all new digital comics and novelizations provide fans the opportunity to stay connected to the BTS universe with content and storylines inspired by their favorite band.
7Fates: CHAKHO follows seven young men bound by fate. After growing up together through a series of trials and tribulations, they must become a unified group of seven to unlock their destiny. 7Fates: CHAKHO is an urban fantasy story set in the near future, inspired by the “Chakhogapsa” tiger hunters of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea. The story reimagines traditional Korean tiger tales and a mythological world of of wild beasts.
7Fates: CHAKHO is the first of three new webcomics and webnovels from WEBTOON and Wattpad in collaboration with HYBE artists. Starting mid-January 2022, each platform will globally release six original webcomics and web novels with artists including BTS, TXT and ENHYPEN.
The K-pop superstars’ second hiatus is giving them time to focus on a March concert in Seoul and new music that will present a “new chapter” in the band’s legacy.
