Addition comes following five years of touring together

Multi-instrumentalist and independent artist Caroline Jones officially joins the Zac Brown Band as full-time band member, making her the first and only female in the eight-piece group. Jones will continue to join the band for tours, performances, appearances, and in the studio, in addition to keeping up with her solo career.

The announcement comes as a natural progression as Jones first opened for Zac Brown Band on their 2017 tour and was asked back for the next two consecutive tours, solidifying her as one of their staples opening acts for three years. After proving her multi-genre musicianship and soprano vocals, the band asked her to join their 2021 The Comeback Tour as a special guest band member and then extended the invitation again for their current Out In The Middle Tour. In addition to touring, ZBB also invited the singer-songwriter to perform with them at the 2022 CMA Fest, 2021 CMA Awards, and to open for the Rolling Stones at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, among other performances and appearances.

Musically, Zac Brown has become a close mentor of Jones’ and, among other credits, is a co-producer on her hit track “So Many Skies” featuring Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey. The romantic ballad, written for her husband while they were falling in love in New Zealand, is featured on Jones’ recently released sophomore album, Antipodes. The 13-track project, which also features the likes of Joe Bonamassa, Mac McAnally, and more, debuted No. 4 on the iTunes Country charts and features her first Top 30 hit, “Come In (But Don’t Make Yourself Comfortable),” which has become a TikTok sensation with its viral line dance that’s racked in over 539 million views and counting.

The group’s Out in the Middle Tour next plays the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Friday, November 4th. Following the show, Jones will head down the street to wrap her solo That Girl in the Band Tour with an intimate show at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood later the same night. The group then heads to Oakland on Sunday, November 6th, San Diego on November 18th and wraps the trek in Phoenix on November 19th.
