The Grammy Award-winner has been recognized as one of the most streamed creators in SoundExchange history

SoundExchange, the premier music tech organization powering the future of music, has announced that country superstar Carrie Underwood has been honored with the SoundExchange Hall of Fame Award as one of the most streamed artists in the organization’s 20-year history.

“Carrie Underwood made history right out of the gate with her 2005 debut single ‘Inside Your Heaven,’ which made her the first country singer to debut atop The Billboard Hot 100,” states Michael Huppe, President and CEO of SoundExchange. “Ever since she stole our hearts on American Idol, she has been soaring high, breaking records and excelling across industries. We are thrilled to honor Carrie with the SoundExchange Hall of Fame Award.”

Underwood was presented with her SoundExchange Hall of Fame Award by President and CEO Michael Huppe at Resorts World Theatre during the latest run of her ongoing Reflection: The Las Vegas Residency, which has been extended into 2024.

2023 was a big year for the country-pop superstar. In March, she wrapped her 43-city The Denim & Rhinestones Tour with sold-out performances across the US. Carrie also announced a donation to Tunnel To Towers of over $420,000 raised by her fans who attended the tour, representing $1 from each ticket sold on the tour that will go directly towards supporting America’s heroes and their families.

She also joined Guns N Roses on three stadium dates of their summer tour.

She released Denim & Rhinestones (Deluxe Edition) in September 2023 featuring six new tracks, including “Out of That Truck.”

In June, she launched Carrie’s Country, a new 24/7 channel on SiriusXM. This year marked the 11th season of Underwood performing the Sunday Night Football anthem and more.

Underwood follows Metallica, Imagine Dragons, and Marc Anthony with this year’s award.
