Charles Wesley Godwin releases three live songs

The tracks further preview his upcoming live album

Earlier this week, West Virginia-native Charles Wesley Godwin announced his forthcoming album Live From The Steel City, due on September 26th via Big Loud. He shares three songs that preview the coming project – “Cue Country Roads,” “Family Ties,” and “Hardwood Floors.” Each mark unforgettable moments in Godwin’s live show.

“I’m so pumped to share the live show the boys and I have curated in bars, clubs, theaters, amphitheaters, arenas and stadiums over the last several years. There’s just something about the energy of a live crowd that you can’t replicate in a studio, and I think that shines through on this album in a big way. Stage AE was a special place to be on September 14, 2024, and come September 26, 2025, everyone can experience it with us. Let’s go!” Godwin shares.

The live album was recorded at his sold-out show at Stage AE outdoors in Pittsburgh, PA. The album features songs from his most recent studio album Family Ties (2023), like “All Again,” “Another Leaf” and “Miner Imperfections” to tracks from 2021’s How The Mighty Fall (“Jesse,” “Temporary Town,” “Strong”) and breakout favorites from Seneca (2019) including “Hardwood Floors,” “Seneca Creek” and more. The album is complete with a cover of Tyler Childers’ “Whitehouse Road” and John Denver’s iconic “Take Me Home, Country Roads.”

Godwin’s touring schedule throughout the year includes a headlining run with a stop at Red Rocks Amphitheatre next month, alongside dates supporting Eric Church.
