Celebrated songwriter, instrumentalist and recording artist Charlie Worsham has the entire Music City creative community in his corner, and that’s never been more apparent than with his forthcoming project Compadres. The five-track album, due October 13th via Warner Music Nashville, features a handful of Worsham’s most decorated collaborators and fiercest champions: Dierks Bentley, Luke Combs, Elle King, Kip Moore and Lainey Wilson.

“I’m so excited for the world to hear me sing ‘How I Learned To Pray’ alongside my buddy Luke Combs,” Worsham states. “The whole idea behind Compadres is to celebrate the friendships I’ve made through music over the past decade. I think fans will be able to hear how much fun we had making this project, and I think they’ll also hear how each of these songs tells a different part of my story. I’ve gotta give a shout-out to my Compadre-in-Chief, Jaren Johnston, for producing this project with me and pushing me to sing and play with more ferocity than ever before.”

Compadres, produced by The Cadillac Three frontman Jaren Johnston, is a versatile introduction to the next chapter of a decade-long story. More than that, it is a musical statement from his supporters that Charlie Worsham will have his moment. The first track, “How I Learned To Pray” featuring Luke Combs, is out now. “How I Learned To Pray” has connected with fans even before release, with more than 14,000 people on TikTok using the audio to create their own clips. The song’s official music video premieres today (Fri, Aug 18th) across all CMT platforms and the Paramount billboards in New York City’s Times Square.

In addition to creating his own music, the proud Mississippi native has recently contributed his talents as both a vocalist and instrumentalist to projects from Eric Church, Lainey Wilson, Brandy Clark, Vince Gill, Hailey Whitters, Corey Kent, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban, among others. He continues to tour as part of Dierks Bentley’s band, and he was honored with the 2022 ACM Award for Acoustic Guitar Player of the Year.
