Coachella Keepsakes will unlock a realm of exclusive experiences including VIP passes, on-site access and premium merch

Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival has announced its partnership with OpenSea, the leading marketplace for NFTs, to launch Coachella Keepsakes: a series of three unique collections that serve as an all-access pass to some of the festival’s most exclusive experiences and products. The utility-driven collectibles turn digital assets into real-world benefits, marking a major shift in the way festivals are ticketed and experienced.

Utilizing the Avalanche blockchain network, each Coachella Keepsakes collection pairs collectible Coachella IP artwork with benefits ranging from exclusive access to the festival’s most coveted spots like the VIP Rose Garden or the new Oasis Lounge to limited edition Coachella merchandise, VIP festival passes and more.

“Our collaboration with OpenSea begins a new chapter in how we use NFTs to provide unique custom experiences for Coachella in real life and online,” states Sam Schoonover, Innovation Lead for Coachella. “We’re moving towards a future where Coachella isn’t just an event you attend, but an experience you can own and shape based on the digital tokens in your possession. We’re enabling this future with OpenSea, a trusted and secure marketplace that helps us safely provide these new opportunities to fans.”

The first collection, titled The VIP Pass + Oasis Lounge Keepsake, grants access to a 2024 VIP Festival Pass and the new Oasis Lounge – a serene space offering exclusive bar benefits with limited complimentary drinks, a shaded lounge, and more. Priced at $1,499, one thousand of these exclusive assets will be available through April 1st or until supplies last at opeansea.com.

Coachella and OpenSea will release the second collection, the Canvas Welcome Box Keepsake, on March 25th. This collection will offer varying levels of utility, including unique merchandise, digital content, and access to the Rose Garden VIP area, among other benefits. Detailed information on cost and tiers will be announced in mid-March. The third and final drop will introduce an artist collaboration in mid-April, promising yet another layer of exclusive benefits for Coachella attendees. Details for this collection will be revealed in late March.

Coachella and OpenSea are setting a new standard for the fusion of the digital and physical worlds in live events. The initiative not only enhances the festival experience for attendees but also paves the way for future applications of NFT technology.
