Collective Soul scores big debut with ‘Here to Eternity’

The double album was released on May 17th

Collective Soul’s highly anticipated and critically acclaimed 12th studio album, Here to Eternity, has garnered impressive debuts on various Billboard and Luminate charts thanks to devoted fans whose support continues to help the band celebrate their 30th anniversary.

On the Billboard charts, the album landed at No. 14 on the Top Current Album Chart, No. 15 on the Top Album Sales Chart, 22 on the Hard Rock Albums Chart, and at 17 on the Canadian Album Sales Chart.

The project scored higher on the Luminate charts with a No. premiere on the Current Hard Music Albums, No. 3 on the Current Alternative Albums, No. 6 on the Current Rock Albums, 7 on the Record Label Independent Albums, 10 on the Internet Albums chart, 14 on the Current Album Sales, Top Albums w/ TEA, Current Digital Albums, and Digital Albums charts while landing at No. 15 overall on the Album Sales chart.

Here to Eternity was released on May 17th via their Fuzze-Flex Records distributed physically by AMPED Distribution and digitally by Virgin Music Group. It includes 20 new songs and is available in Dolby Atmos, a single CD, and a limited edition two-colored LP.

The band will be celebrating their 30th anniversary (since they first exploded on the music scene in 1994 with their multi-Platinum Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid album) all year, which started with the April 10th debut of the album’s first song and lyric video, “Mother’s Love” (which features a special guest appearance from Paul McCartney guitarist Brian Ray on slide guitar), on their official YouTube. The official music video was directed by Adam Blank and featuring an appearance by Ed and Dean Roland’s mother, Nette Roland.

Alongside Ray, other guests on the album include longtime Sheryl Crow bandleader Peter Stroud and Mickey Thomas of Jefferson Starship. Here to Eternity was written and produced by E. Roland, co-produced by Shawn Grove, and recorded at Elvis Presley’s estate in Palm Springs, California. They’re the only other music artist to ever record at the historical landmark.

In summer touring news, the group will hit the road with Hootie & the Blowfish along with Edwin McCain for the Summer Camp with Trucks Tour produced by Live Nation. The trek–which will visit 44 cities across the US and Canada–kicks off on May 30th in Dallas and runs through September 28th in West Palm Beach.
