The song continues to climb the country charts
On the heels of the release of his Never Giving Up On That collection, Dalton Dover premieres the official music video for his latest single โGiving Up On Thatโ on CMT, CMT Music, CMT.com and Paramountโs Times Square Billboard. Directed by Tristan Cusick, the video was filmed near Doverโs hometown in Rome, Georgia.
โEvery scene in the video is just somewhere that means something to me, places where I grew up,โ Dalton tells CMT. โThe people in the video are some of the most important people in my life. Growing up, youโre playing all these small venues around here. Little did you know 12 years later, youโd sign a record deal and film your first music video at the same exact place, the same bar that you played one of your first hometown shows in.โ
Last week, Dover revealed his eight-song project Never Giving Up On That via Mercury Records/UMG Nashville, featuring two new songs including โDirt Roads and Jesusโ and an alluring cover of โIf I Ainโt Got You,โ among fan-favorite hits such as โBaby I Am,โ โYou Got A Small Townโ and โNight To Go,โ as well as โGiving Up On That,โ which debuted as the most-added song at country radio and continues to climb the charts.
Dover made his international debut earlier this year at C2C: Country to Country Festivalโs CMA Songwriters Series before joining Chase Rice on the Way Down Yonder Tour. This summer, he performed across four stages at CMA Fest, including the Nissan Stadium Platform Stage, and played Luke Combsโ Whiskey Jam Bootleggers Tailgate Party at Gillette Stadium in July. He has been on the road with select dates supporting Tyler Hubbard, Parker McCollum, Justin Moore and Priscilla Block among festival performances.
