An extended cut and two remixes are available now
Global superstar Demi Lovato rings in her 33rd birthday with a remix bundle of “Fast,” the lead single off her upcoming ninth studio album. The bundle includes an extended cut, clocking in at four minutes and 45 seconds, produced by the album’s executive producer and song’s original producer, Zhone. The bundle also includes a remix and extended remix by British DJ Zac Samuels.
The former Disney starlet celebrated her birthday this week with a now-viral karaoke party with her friends, where she sang covers of songs like Whitney Houston’s “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” to her husband, Jordan Lutes (“Jutes”), as well as an impeccable recreation of Elphaba’s battle cry from “Wicked.” Demi’s “Wicked” Battle Cry even received a seal of approval from Cynthia Erivo herself, who commented on and reshared the video this week.
Demi’s had an incredible run these past few weeks: while “Fast” has been met with critical acclaim, she’s sparked viral moments with her triumphant return to The Bigg Chill, a surprise LA party drop-in, and a reunion with the Jonas Brothers at MetLife Stadium. And this is just the start.
The previously released Daniel Sachon-directed music video for “Fast” follows a new Demi, free of the scars of her past and unfazed by the chaos. The visual sets the tone of her new era, emerging with a clean slate, sharp clarity and full control. Her final glance to the viewer is the only recognition of the outside world, and it comes entirely on her terms – the era has begun.
