Dolly Parton announces Dolly Wines, Broadway musical, Nashville hotel

Parton shared the news during a rare CMA Fest appearance

Dolly Parton made a huge splash at her first CMA Fest appearance in 13 years with a slew of surprise announcements. Parton kicked off her Dolly! All Access pop-up experience at Fan Fair X on Thursday (June 6th) by sharing plans that include a new signature wine collection, Broadway musical, and Nashville hotel.

In July, Parton will introduce her first collection of wines, Dolly Wines, in collaboration with Parton Family Cellars and one of the largest wine companies, Accolade Wines.

The first wine to be released, Dolly Wines California Chardonnay 2023, will go on sale in the United States to leading retailers in July and is now exclusively available for pre-sale through Vivino on DollyWines.com. The crisp Chardonnay offers a blend of white peach, sweet cream, and toasty oak for a perfectly balanced sweetness.

US consumers who pre-order Dolly Wines California Chardonnay 2023 through Vivino can take advantage of the limited time $1 Dolly Days. For $1 at checkout, they can sign up for a month of Vivino Plus, to receive free shipping on their order. The pre-sale orders will start shipping on June 25th and go on sale in the United States to leading retailers in July 2024.

Dolly is known for bringing people together, and each bottle invites wine lovers and music fans alike into Dolly’s world. Dolly was involved in every step of the winemaking process, offering her input on taste, look, and feel to ensure each bottle perfectly represents the magic that Dolly brings to the world.

In a deal brokered by IMG, the initial Dolly Wines range features three varietals including Chardonnay, Rosé and Prosecco, with a fourth varietal, Sparkling, launching in Australia in September 2024 under the Dolly Parton label. The Rosé and Prosecco will be released in Fall 2024 to retailers across the United Kingdom.

Parton will partner with ATG Productions to bring a new musical inspired by her life and trailblazing career, titled Hello, I’m Dolly, to Broadway in 2026.

“Hello, I’m Dolly, and I lived my whole life to see this show on stage,” Dolly shared. “I’ve written many original songs for the show and included all your favorites in it as well. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll clap, you’ll stomp, it truly is a Grand Ol’ Opera. Pun and fun intended. Don’t miss it!”

Produced by Parton, Adam Speers for ATG Productions, and Danny Nozell for CTK Enterprises, the new musical borrows its title from the name of Dolly’s first studio album released in 1967. Hello, I’m Dolly will feature a score by Dolly that will include some of her biggest hits as well as new songs she has written especially for the musical, and a book by Dolly and Maria S. Schlatter. Additional members of the creative team and casting will be announced at a later date.

Also, Parton plans to open the Songteller Hotel at Third Avenue North and Commerce Street in Downtown Nashville. Parton and The Dollywood Company have partnered with Herschend Enterprises to acquire 211 Commerce Street in December which will be remodeled. The hotel is currently in development and will include a Dolly Archives museum.

Parton’s All Access Pop-Up Store will be open through the weekend with limited edition merchandise including pre-orders of Good Lookin’ Cookin’, the highly-anticipated cookbook Parton and her sister Rachel Parton George that will be released later this year.
