“10 Lbs Of S#!t” marks his first new music since 2023’s The Bridge

Drake White shows his good-ol’ boy, fun-loving side in the new up-tempo “10 Lbs of S#!t,” a mischievous do-it-all anthem affirming too much of a good thing is sometimes just enough.

The song was written by the country-soul troubadour with Matt Koziol and Kelli Johnson. The fresh track is highlighted by lightning-quick lyricism delivered with a smiling Alabama drawl, and a point of view aimed squarely at the finer points of a country lifestyle.

Celebrating a jack of all trades who’s also king of his castle, White lets loose on a torrent of important skills – from turning a torque wrench to mixing a drink – as hard work, fun, loving each other and enjoying the ride create a life overflowing in blessings.

Meanwhile, White and co-producer Jonathan Singleton pair that spirit with a rollicking roadhouse country sound, putting an exclamation point on his message. Matching its speedy tempo with bright, twangy telecasters, Jerry Lee Lewis-style piano antics and White’s relentless positivity, the star reminds all who care to listen to what he’s learned from experience – best to let the good times roll.

“’10 Lbs of S#!t’ in a five-pound bag is a gritty country anthem embodying the resilience and determination of the men and women that wake up on a mission to get shit done! It’s a blast to sing and a Polaroid of how I live my life today!” shares White.

Marking the first release of a new creative chapter, “10 Lbs of S#!t,” follows White’s 2023 EP, The Bridge. Featuring seven songs filled with inspiration, love and conviction, each track on The Bridge was co-written by White with a cast including Maren Morris, Ryan Hurd, Leslie Satcher, and more, combining all-new tracks with reimagined versions of fan favorites and a collaboration with Colbie Caillat.

Recently, White wrapped up the initial leg of The Bridge Tour in Detroit and will continue on with nationwide dates scheduled across North Carolina, Kansas, Iowa, his native Alabama and beyond – including select dates with Jamey Johnson. White’s 2024 run is set to finish on September 14th in Savannah, Tennessee.
