Song is latest from Heart & Soul

Eric Church has released his new single, “Heart On Fire,” the follow-up to his recent No. 1 smash, “Hell Of A View.” Written solely by Church, the nostalgic track is credited for getting Church’s entire three-part Heart & Soul project started.

“‘Heart On Fire’ was the first song we recorded when we got to North Carolina I already had pretty much, I wrote this song by myself, but I already had this song on the rails and we were heading down the path of what this was going to be,” says Church. “I thought we needed to kind of break the ice and get started on something, you know, we were doing something that was tough to do – writing the song the same day we were record it. This was the song that was kind of the icebreaker for the whole project, and I credit this song a lot for getting us to where we ended up getting to with the project.”

The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year will launch his Gather Again Tour this fall. The 55 city trek will see Church perform in-the-round sets for the first time in his career, touring full-capacity arenas through the US and Canada.

Released over a one week period in April, Heart & Soul saw Church land two albums atop of the all-genre Billboard Top Album Sales chart with Heart and Soul. By late April, all three were within the Top 10 with Heart at No. 9, the fan-club exclusive & at No. 3 and Soul at No. 1. Church also became the first country artist to simultaneously occupy the top two spots on the Billboard Vinyl Albums chart since its inception in 2011, with Soul and & at No. 1 and 2 respectively.
