Florence + the Machine have debuted “Heaven is Here,” alongside a video, via Republic Records. The clip was filmed in Kyiv in November 2021 and directed the acclaimed Autumn de Wilde with choreography by Ryan Heffington.

“‘Heaven is Here’ was the first song I wrote in lockdown after an extended period of not being able to get to the studio,” says frontwoman Florence Welch. “I wanted to make something monstrous. And this clamor of joy, fury and grief was the first thing that came out. With dance studios also shut it was my dream to one day create choreography with it. So it’s one of the first pieces of music I have made specifically with contemporary dance in mind.”

The song follows “King” which was released last month. Its video was also directed by de Wilde.

“King” was the first new music since 2021’s “Call Me Cruella” from the Disney film, Cruella. Both tracks are expected to appear on the band’s long-awaited follow up to High As Hope, which was released in June 2018.
