Brooks created “Pure Adrenaline” for SEC football

CBS Sports is teaming up with Garth Brooks for SEC On CBS broadcasts this season. The broadcasts will feature Brooks’ new song “Pure Adrenaline” which was created for SEC football. The song, with customized lyrics each week along with elements from an original video shoot featuring Brooks, will help kick-off CBS Sports’ SEC Game of the Week on Saturdays throughout the 2016 season.

“Pure Adrenaline,” which is upbeat and highly intense, will debut when the SEC On CBS kicks off Saturday, September 3rd at 3:30 pm ET with UCLA at Texas A&M. The song will be available on his upcoming album, set for release this fall, but will not be the first single.

Brooks made the announcement August 15th while on set during an earlier edition of his weekly Facebook Live series, “Inside Studio G.”

“We wrote this song, ‘Pure Adrenaline,’ for every SEC game that’s gonna happen this year, so it’s pretty cool,” Brooks states about he and songwriter Gordon Kennedy. “CBS gave us a list of those that they’re gonna be airing, or they might be airing, so we ran down a list of ’em — there’s like 20 something of ’em — and that’s what we’re filming today.”
