Friends In Low Places, the eagerly awaited bar and honky-tonk by Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, is set to celebrate its grand opening on March 7th. This follows Garth Brooksโ Amazon Music Live Concert on Black Friday 2023 โ an event that captivated millions of viewers worldwide. The grand opening will unveil all four floors of the 54,715 square-foot venue, marking it as the largest honky-tonk in the Neon Neighborhood of Lower Broadway. This opening also includes a police substation developed in partnership with the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD). Situated at 411 Broadway, Friends In Low Places is a heartfelt homage to honky-tonks everywhere.
โIf you are one of the lucky ones who come to this town and receive its many blessings, donโt you owe something to Nashville?โ Brooks says. โGarth Brooks owes a lot to Music City.โ
โI canโt imagine there being a Garth honky-tonk without Trisha Food!โ adds Yearwood. โIโm honored to get to be a part of something so exciting and so big, and to work alongside the love of my life doing it. The whole team at Friends In Low Places is incredible!โ
Spanning four floors, Friends In Low Places offers a unique blend of tradition and innovation. The first two floors pay tribute to classic honky-tonks with the most advanced audio-visual technology and a one-of-a-kind live music stage. The third floor houses intimate private event spaces, echoing the cozy atmosphere of Garth and Trishaโs home. The Oasis features the largest rooftop in the Neon Neighborhood, offering a beachy paradise with unmatched views. Each level delivers an unparalleled experience, merging heartfelt hospitality with cutting-edge entertainment.
The first two floors of Friends In Low Places not only serve as an ode to traditional honky-tonks but also elevate the experience to unprecedented levels. The unmatched setup, installed by the same team who have toured the world with Brooks, features the largest LED screens on Broadway and the latest in sound and lighting technology. Friends In Low Places sets a new standard for honky-tonks, creating a show experience that anyone who has been to a Garth Brooks concert will immediately recognize and appreciate.
The stage sits at the heart of the building where musicians perform on a custom-built, retractable stage. It proudly features the Circle G emblem, repurposed from the Central Park stage where Garth Brooks performed to a record-breaking audience of over a million people โ the largest concert in the parkโs history to this day. Facing the stage is a scalloped mezzanine, allowing both floors to become one with the music and the party.
The first floor features two bars, ample seating, and an expansive dance floor. On the second floor, guests will find an additional two bars and a mezzanine offering an impressive birds-eye view of the stage below. The second floor also features a drink rail positioned along the front of the building, complete with sliding glass windows that open onto Broadway.
The third floor of Friends In Low Places features the venueโs trio of private event spaces, with each space designed to echo the warm and inviting atmosphere of Garth and Trishaโs home. Complete with a charming double-sided fireplace and an intimate patio, these areas offer the perfect setting for gatherings of up to 250 guests.
The Oasis, boasting the largest rooftop in the Neon Neighborhood, invites guests to โSlip On Up To The Oasis,โ a Music City paradise with its beachy theme and lush 10-foot palm trees. With retractable garage doors that seamlessly blend the interior space with the allure of the open-air patio, every aspect of The Oasis is designed to provide an exceptional rooftop party experience high above the neon lights of Broadway.
The Oasis will feature two full bars, and obviously, more than two pinฬa coladas will be served.
Transitioning from its โunder constructionโ menu featuring an assortment of โGarthโs Favorites,โ the grand opening of Friends In Low Places will feature menus created by Trisha Yearwood. Drawing from the success of Trishaโs Southern Kitchen and her array of best-selling cookbooks, the offerings throughout the four floors of the venue promise a selection of familiar and new dishes. If youโve ever wanted to know what itโs like to pull a chair to the dinner table in Trishaโs kitchen, the Meat and Three will take you there. Your choice of Mamaโs Meatloaf or Fried Chicken with white gravy and choice of three sides all from the heart of the Yearwood family kitchen. The honky-tonkโs food menu is planned to be available from 11 am until 9 pm, seven days a week.
