“Heat Waves” remains atop of Billboard Hot 100

Glass Animals’ “Heat Waves” continues to be the biggest song in the world this week, as it remains No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for the third week in a row. The news comes after the song’s record-breaking 59 week steady climb up the chart to the No. 1 position. “Heat Waves” holds No. 1 on Billboard’s Radio Songs Chart and Global Excl. US Chart for the second week in a row.

“Heat Waves” is the first song by a British group to spend multiple weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 Chart since Spice Girls’ “Wannabe” in 1997. Not to mention, in its 61st total week on the Hot 100, it ties Post Malone’s “Circles” as the fifth-longest stay on the chart among No. 1s in the list’s history.

This adds to the band’s numerous No. 1’s, including Billboard Global 200 Chart (fourth week in a row), Top 40 Radio Chart, Alternative Radio Chart & Hot AC Radio Chart (a first in the band’s career), Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs Chart, Apple Music Alternative Top Songs Chart, and more.

The song has broken numerous records and maintained its longevity through numerous platforms and support from fans and channels across the industry.

In addition to Glass Animals’ recent success, frontman Dave Bayley co-wrote and co-produced Florence + The Machine’s newest single “My Love”, adding to his already impressive list of collaborations with other artists.
