The first posthumously-created duets album reimagines Campbell’s history-marking farewell album

Big Machine Records and Surfdog Records release “Strong” with Brian Wilson, the latest track available from Glen Campbell Duets – Ghost on the Canvas Session, set for release on April 19th. The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson contributes his vocals to this vulnerable song, written by Campbell (with the help of the album’s producer, Julian Raymond) about facing life with his Alzheimer’s Disease diagnosis. Featuring beautiful swelling harmonies and instrumental experimentation reminiscent of The Beach Boys’ iconic Pet Sounds album, the beautiful, track exudes optimism despite its heartbreaking lyrics—much like putting on a strong face for your loved ones.

Glen Campbell Duets – Ghost on the Canvas Session, the first album recreated completely as duets posthumously, reimagines Campbell’s critically acclaimed, history-making 2011 farewell album with artists including Carole King, Dolly Parton, Elton John, Hope Sandoval, Linda Perry, Sting, Brian Setzer and more contributing their voices to honor the late legend.

“Glen was a great singer and a great guy,” says Wilson. “Our intention in doing ‘Strong’ was to echo back to ‘Guess I’m Dumb’ and the times that Glen and I worked together. It’s kinda got that vibe to it and I dig the sound of it.”

“Dreams do come true,” shares producer and co-writer Julian Raymond. “Hearing Brian and his team record one of Glen’s wife Kim’s favorite songs was very emotional for sure. Everything that Brian has been through himself shows up in this performance of ‘Strong.’”

Campbell was one of the biggest stars of his generation—even outselling The Beatles in 1968. Across his illustrious 50+ year career, the Country
