Godsmack releases first-ever ‘The Oracle’ vinyl

The album is available on standard 2 LP 45 RPM or special “Saints and Sinners” Deluxe Edition with bonus seven-inch

The Oracle, Godsmack’s fifth album, was the band’s third consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The record’s first single, the adrenalized “Cryin’ Like a Bitch,” became an anthem for the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). The Oracle is a special entry in the Godsmack catalog as it’s the band’s first album written entirely collaboratively. It is also Godsmack’s first album produced by Dave Fortman who produced both of Evanescence’s multi-platinum albums, along with albums by Superjoint Ritual, Mudvayne, Otep, Simple Plan, and Slipknot. The ten-track album is a white-knuckle ride through thrash metal, hard rock, and blues-rock that concludes in classic Godsmack style with the majestic power ballad, “The Oracle.”

Fans can experience The Oracle like never before with exceptional remastered audio presented on 2 LP 45 RPM vinyl via Republic Records/UMe. The Oracle is now available in standard black vinyl and in colored vinyl as a limited-edition online exclusive through the Official Godsmack Store, UDiscover Music, and The Sound of Vinyl. The deluxe edition, titled “Saints And Sinners,” references the album’s working title. It boasts a special seven-inch single of “Whiskey Hangover” which rocketed to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks, and it is backed by the seething “I Blame You.”

Also dropping today (Fri, May 2nd) at 9 am PT, Godsmack is releasing The Making of The Oracle documentary on YouTube for the first time ever. Originally released as a bonus DVD in a special 2010 edition of the album, the documentary offers fans an inside look at the process, methodology, and rituals behind the creation of the album.
