Goose releases ‘Royal’

The song drops ahead of the next leg of the band’s tour

Goose has shared their new single, “Royal,” premiering everywhere today via No Coincidence Records. The track plants its feet firmly from the first note, setting up a tight, muscled groove with its bombastic opening riff. Dirty guitar licks, accented by playful Wurlitzer hits, introduce the story of Royal, a transient musician whose burning ambition threatens to get the best of him. “Royal” bounces and heaves with 70s roots rock sensibility; stutter-step lyrics give way to the scorching tone of Rick Mitarotonda’s guitar as he uncorks a gritty, high-octane solo pushed forward by a slapping bass and a driving, metronomic beat.

Having recently made their triumphant sold-out headline debut at New York City’s world-famous Madison Square Garden, Goose returns to the road next week with an eagerly anticipated performance at Park City, UT’s Park City Song Summit from August 14-16, followed by headlining dates, festival appearances, and more. Highlights include a one-night-only show as special guest to Dave Matthews Band set for Sunday, August 31st at George, WA’s The Gorge Amphitheatre, a sold-out headlining performance at Burlington, VT’s Waterfront Park on September 14th, and two-night stands at Louisville, KY’s historic The Louisville Palace on September 23-24, and Richmond, VA’s Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront on October 2-3, as well as the band’s 12th annual Goosemas holiday celebration, set for December 12-13 at Providence, RI’s Amica Mutual Pavilion. $1 from every ticket sold for Goosemas will benefit Backline, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that connects music industry professionals and their families with mental health and wellness resources.

Goose – who lit up last month’s Newport Folk Festival in Newport, RI with a stellar set that saw them joined onstage by the legendary Kenny Loggins for an unforgettable rendition of his Top Gun classic, “Danger Zone” – is also set for an array of top-billed festival appearances in the coming months, including Fredericton, NB’s Harvest Music Festival on September 12th, Las Vegas, NV’s Rise on October 5th, and Live Oak, FL’s Suwanee Hulaween from October 30-November 2.

In addition, Goose recently announced the second iteration of their annual destination festival, Viva El Gonzo, produced by 100x Hospitality and set for May 7-9, 2026, in San José del Cabo, Mexico. A three-day music and arts festival held in a sacred tropical oasis on the southern tip of the Baja California desert, Viva El Gonzo will see Goose playing all three nights, joined by an all-star assembly of special guests for an immersive musical experience like no other. A complete lineup will be announced soon. GA Festival Tickets, TED and Super TED VIP, and travel packages are available now.
