20th anniversary concert set for Sept

The Recording Academy has announced that after a year of virtual advocacy, the GRAMMYs on the Hill Awards will return to the nation’s capital in person on September 22nd. GRAMMYs on the Hill is Washington’s premier annual celebration of music and policy, bringing together congressional leaders and music creators to recognize the power of advocacy and continue the fight for creators’ rights for the 20th anniversary of the event. The Awards will honor two congressional leaders for their contributions to the creative community as well as an artist for their commitment to advancing music initiatives.

“The Recording Academy and our members continued to advocate for advancements in music policy and crucial support for creators during the COVID crisis. We did this in a completely new way—virtually,” shares Harvey Mason jr., Chair and Interim President/CEO of the Recording Academy. “The return of live music, gigs and touring is on the horizon, and we are eager to bring music back to Washington and celebrate the accomplishments of the last 20 years with our congressional allies. It’s a score worth singing and celebrating.”

A formal invitation and full event, health and safety details to come this summer.
