Additional auction items will be available on December 14th

Master tapes from Bob Dylan’s first self-titled album, Elvis Presley’s sixth-grade report card, personal items, love letters and artwork from author Henry Miller, and President John F. Kennedy’s moon-landing note, and an extremely rare and sealed Beatles’ White Album are among the 20th century treasures up for grabs at Guernsey’s online auction on December 14th.

Additional items offered by the New York-headquartered auction house include a beautiful guitar owned by Eddie Van Halen, Kareem Abdul Jabber’s b-ball photos and Laker’s ring, a 1956 NY Yankees World Series ticket stub signed by Mickey Mantle, Yogi Berra and the rest of the team, and original Little Nemo artwork by cartoonist Winsor McCay.

Guernsey’s online auction will be held through LiveAuctioneers.com and Invaluable.com.

One of the highlights of the auction is the original tapes from legendary musician Bob Dylan’s first, self-album, which contains 13 songs, including “Man of Constant Sorrow,” “Song to Woody,” and “Highway 51.” The masters were recorded on three professional reels of tape, and are complete with outtakes, unreleased songs, and dialogue between the legendary musician and John Hammond, his producer. In the mid-1960s, these original tapes were given to a young blind man Stephen Handschu, who has been blind since birth and is planning to donate much of the proceeds from the sale to a group that helps the blind.

Guernsey has compiled an exciting array of offerings from diverse icons for the December auction, such as. astonishing archive of personal letters and writings by famed author Henry Miller. Later in life the famed author of Tropic of Cancer, which was first banned in the U.S. due to its candid sexuality, struck up a torrid relationship with Brenda Venus, a young, intelligent beauty queen who later wrote a book about their affair. These never-before-offered archives include over 500 handwritten, passionate, explicit correspondences written by Miller to Venus. In addition, there will be personal items including a favorite bathrobe, personal notebooks, and diaries along with watercolors painted by the author.
