The 17-song collection pays homage to Joe Diffie
Hardy and Big Loud have unveiled the full details for Hixtape: Vol. 3 Difftape. The third installment of the Hixtape franchise honors the legacy and beloved catalog of Grammy and CMA Award-winning icon Joe Diffie.
Released in conjunction with the Diffie Estate on the fourth anniversary of his passing on March 29th, the 17-track album features never-before-heard recordings of Joe captured in 2006, and one previously unreleased original featuring his son Parker.
The recordings utilize the 2006 master recordings of Diffie’s greatest hits along with all new recordings from some of country music’s biggest stars and more.
“Life Had Plans For Me” featuring Hardy and Parker Diffie marks the only unreleased original Diffie song on the album.
In November 2023, Morgan Wallen, Hardy, and Post Malone debuted the first offerings of “John Deere Green” on its 30th anniversary and the 1994 No. 1 “Pickup Man” via performances at the 57th Annual CMA Awards. The studio versions followed as Hixtape Vol. 3: Difftape (Small Batch).

Entirely produced by Joey Moi, the Hixtape collection was created by a community, for a community, spurred on by the critical success of Hixtape Vols 1 + 2. Diffie was previously featured on “Redneck Tendencies” with Hardy and Trace Adkins on Hixtape: Vol 1 in 2019.
Vol. 1 featured 18 guests on ten songs with Vol. 2 featuring 33 guests and 14 songs in 2022.
