An immersive hip-hop journey runs from January 12 through March 18th

Entertainment company Mass Appeal announces Hip Hop Til Infinity – an immersive trip across 50 years of Hip Hop – will be coming to Los Angeles. The evocative digital installation, which had a run in New York City’s Hall des Lumières last year, will take up residence at the famous old Amoeba Store on Sunset Boulevard. Beginning January 12th through March 18th fans can experience hip-hop’s evolution through the years. The exhibit, created in partnership with The Hip Hop Museum, is a part visual voyage and part tactile experience showcasing the incredible influence the genre has had on culture over the past half-century. Mass Appeal also partnered with Morrison Hotel Gallery to add an iconic pop-up gallery to the experience. The prints on display will be available for purchase. Promotion and ticketing to the exhibition are powered by Fever, and tickets are currently on sale at hiphoptilinfinityla.com

To highlight SoCal rap for Hip Hop Til Infinity’s West Coast debut, Mass Appeal has tapped hip-hop icon and California native Snoop Dogg to be a contributor to the exhibition. As November 23rd marked the 30th anniversary of Snoop Dogg’s four-time platinum debut album Doggystyle, Hip Hop Til Infinity will display special artifacts from Tha Doggfather himself. The museum will also include a gift shop where exclusive Doggystyle and Death Row merchandise will be available for purchase.

“West Coast rap is integral to the story of hip-hop. The genre started on the East Coast and made its way to California where we put our own swag on it, “ Snoop Dogg shares. “It’s dope to see the Hip Hop Til Infinity exhibit acknowledging the 50 years of hip-hop and to have the spotlight on the 30 years of Doggystyle within the exhibit is something special. ”

The exhibition will feature rare and collectible items from some of the West’s most respected names in hip-hop, including Death Row, Snoop Dogg, Nipsey Hussle, Delicious Vinyl, Kday, and many more. Attendees will also be able to browse the Hip Hop Til Infinity shop, which will include a huge selection of curated records (new releases and reissues from Snoop Dogg, E-40, DJ Shadow, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan & De La Soul), hip-hop sculptures by Concrete Jungle, collections from Estevan Oriol, The Marathon Clothing, Supervsn, Wu-Wear Clothing & more.

Exhibit goers will be transported through hip-hop’s different eras and regions – from the parks, to the stage, to the Internet and beyond. The exhibition will also feature interactive programming, including workshops, live panel discussions, listening parties, and more at the iconic space which was also home to the Van Gogh Experience. Additional details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Hip Hop Til Infinity is part of Mass Appeal’s ongoing Hip Hop 50 initiative – a massive cross-platform initiative that celebrates hip-hop’s momentous anniversary in the most authentic and globally impactful way possible by acknowledging and recognizing hip-hop as not only a genre but a movement that has impacted the worldwide community.
