Isabela Merced shares salsa reimagining of ‘Apocalipsis’

The track was produced by Tony Succar

Fresh off a banner year with standout roles in The Last of Us and the No. 1 box office hit Superman, actress and singer Isabela Merced returns to the spotlight with “Apocalipsis (Salsa Version),” a smoldering salsa reinvention of her original song produced by Grammy and Latin Grammy winner Tony Succar.

Originally written and produced by Merced with her brother Gyovanni Moner in 2020, “Apocalipsis” has now been transformed into an explosive Latin anthem that fuses salsa and pop while paying homage to their shared Peruvian heritage. Succar, celebrated for his innovative approach to Latin music, brings his signature energy and precision to the track, merging timeless salsa instrumentation with contemporary arrangements.

“‘Apocalipsis’ has always been one of my most passionate songs, and hearing it come alive in salsa feels like it’s been reborn,” states Merced. “Tony brought this explosive energy and authenticity that made me fall in love with the song all over again. It’s our love letter to Peru, to salsa, and to the joy of making music that moves your soul and your body.”

Recorded between Miami and Los Angeles, the song is a celebration of culture, rhythm, and identity. It unites two coasts and two generations of Peruvian talent. Succar’s production elevates the track into a high-voltage showcase of Latin artistry.
