The song has a clever twist
Platinum-selling singer/songwriter Jackson Dean puts his heart on the line and his charm to the test in his cheeky new track “Make A Liar” via Big Machine Records. At first, Dean conceals his true desires by presenting his hopes for the future as the opposite of what he wants. Then, safe under a pretense of indifference, he quickly turns the tables on them, urging the other person to “make a liar” out of him and make all those things a reality. With a clever twist, “Make A Liar” feels like a playful wink coupled with a flirty dare. This bass-heavy, blush-inducing track was co-written by Dean, his frequent collaborator Luke Dick, and award-winning songwriter Randy Montana. It’s a perfect showcase of Dean’s ability to craft songs filled with charisma and wit.
“‘Make A Liar’ is a cheeky turn of phrase, and the song is a little bundle of stumbling, bumbling fun,” shares Dean. “Seeing the fans’ reaction to this one has been a real treat – I hope they love it!”
Dean released the sultry “Be Your Man” earlier this year, marking the first page of an exciting new chapter for the rising singer/songwriter, expanding to new territory both sonically and lyrically following his September 2024-released sophomore album On The Back Of My Dreams. In addition, his song “Turn On The Lights” is currently used for T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights 2025 competition.
As his current top 15-and-climbing single “Heavens To Betsy” nears the top 10, Dean is touring coast to coast, playing various fairs and festivals. On September 13th, he will headline Yellowstone and Landman creator Taylor Sheridan’s inaugural Bosque Ranch Live concert at his ranch in Weatherford, Texas. In addition, Dean will act as direct support for Lee Brice this fall on select dates of his What You Know About That Tour before bringing his highly successful headlining On The Back Of My Dreams World Tour to Australia and New Zealand. He’ll also join country star Brad Paisley’s Truck Still Works World Tour as it heads to Canada this November and December.
