Concert will be rescheduled

After 20 minutes, Jason Aldean rushed off stage in Hartford, Connecticut last night (Sat, July 15th) due to the heat. Videos of the incident have been circulating online, showing Aldean stopping during “Crazy Town” to apparently wipe sweat from his face. However, a few seconds later, he rushed off stage and never returned.

Aldean shared a social media message on Sunday (July 16th) thanking fans for their support, but said heat stroke was not the issue, as previously reported.

“It’s one of those things, man. It was hot. I was playing golf all day yesterday and then got to the show — I think it was a combination of dehydration and just heat exhaustion,” he says in a video. “I hear a lot of stuff going around — heat stroke and all that stuff — I don’t think it was quite that series, but it was pretty intense last night at the show… I knew it was coming. I was trying to get through as much of the show as I could, and eventually I knew it wasn’t going to happen and I was trying to just get off stage and figure out what’s going on.”

No announcement was made at the time, but the show was canceled shortly after.

“#JasonAldean runs off stage at the #xfinitytheatre show in #HartfordCT,” a fan shares. “Poor guy. It was hotter than hell. It was bad enough just standing in the pit. I can’t imagine performing in jeans, boots, and hat under all those lights in that humidity with no breeze. Hope he’s okay.”

The Xfinity Theatre confirms the show will be rescheduled and says Aldean suffered from heat stroke.

“Yesterday’s Jason Aldean show will be rescheduled for a future date,” a note reads on the venue’s socials.

“We appreciate your patience as we work on rescheduling a new date, as well as the outpouring of well wishes for Jason. A rep has confirmed he is now doing well after experiencing heat stroke during last night’s performance. Please stay tuned to all social media channels for updates as they become available.”

A new date is forthcoming and no other stops will be impacted.

The concert was the second of his Highway Desperado Tour that kicked off this weekend in the northeast. The 41-city headlining trek runs through October with support from Mitchell Tenpenny, Corey Kent, and Dee Jay Silver.
