Song is from forthcoming Whitsitt Chapel

Award-winning multi-genre music phenomenon Jelly Roll has given fans another reason to be excited for his upcoming album, Whitsitt Chapel, with the release of new single “Unlive” featuring Yelawolf.

The single, released via Stoney Creek Records/BMG, sees a return to Jelly Roll’s hip hop roots where the artist first made his name known, and mixes this with his country-rock style during the chorus. With its gritty lyrics from both Jelly Roll and Yelawolf, the single explores the struggles both experienced during their childhoods.

“This song is about how we grew up in the south — we’ve all seen and experienced things, that no matter where we go in life we always take it with us,” Jelly Roll shares on social media. “It’s a reminder of what made us who we are today— and I’m proud of that.”

After dominating Billboard’s Emerging Artist Chart for a record-breaking 25 consecutive weeks – ultimately breaking the record of most weeks spent at No. 1, Jelly Roll is well on his way to mainstream, multi-genre stardom.

Most recently, Jelly Roll, a first-time CMT Music Award nominee, won big taking home honors for all three awards he received nominations for including Male Video of the Year, Male Breakthrough Video of the Year, and the CMT Digital-First Performance of the Year.

Jelly Roll’s highly-anticipated forthcoming album, Whitsitt Chapel is due for release on June 2nd and features already released singles “Need A Favor” and “She.”
