Monster Edition and vinyl edition due this fall

Known for their innovative fusion of progressive rock and folk influences, Jethro Tull announces the 40th anniversary edition of their 14th album Broadsword And The Beast. Originally released in 1982, the groundbreaking album captivated fans with its distinctive blend of rock, folk, and progressive influences. The album’s masterful storytelling, accompanied by Ian Anderson’s unmistakable flute melodies, garnered critical acclaim and has become a fan favorite over the years.

The 40th anniversary packaging includes new mixes from Steven Wilson, demos, rough mixes, live recordings, and sessions from 1981, with a 5 CD and 3 DVD set forming the Monster Edition and a 3 LP set as the vinyl edition, and available digitally.

The CDs include the original album along with early 1981 sessions remixed by Wilson, as well as Live in Germany 1982, spread across two discs. The DVDs include the album and its associated recordings remixed in 96/24 LPCM stereo, DTS and 5.1 surround sound, as well as Live in Germany remixed in 96/24 LPCM stereo, DTS and 4.1 surround sound.
