Event is August 7th in Milton, DE

Chart-topping, platinum-selling recording artist and songwriter Jimmie Allen is returning to his hometown roots with the announcement of Bettie James Fest, his own music festival in his hometown of Milton, DE on Saturday, August 7th at Hudson Fields.

The inaugural line-up features Allen headlining and special guests DJ Jazzy Jeff, Neon Union, Hero the Band, Chuck Wicks and Chase Martin. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 21st at 10 am ET at wickedgoodtickets.com.

A proud Milton native, Allen is consistently vocal about his deep reverence for his family, hometown, and home state of Delaware. Like his star-studded EP Bettie James, released July 2020, the festival is named for his late grandmother (Bettie Snead) and late father (James Allen). “I’m hoping their memory lives on through this festival,” Allen says.

Allen most recently won the ACM Award for New Male Artist of the Year and performed his current hit single “Freedom Was A Highway” with Brad Paisley at the Awards on April 18th. The song is featured on Bettie James, which additionally featured a wide array of artists from across genres and generations including Paisley, Charley Pride, Darius Rucker, Mickey Guyton, Nelly, Noah Cyrus, The Oak Ridge Boys, Rita Wilson, Tauren Wells and Tim McGraw.

“I am a fan of every artist on this project and humbled to have each one of them be a part of it,” Allen has said previously of his various collaboration partners on Bettie James. “Each artist has touched the life of my dad, my grandmother and me through their music.”

The EP – a musical composition of love, heartbreak, perseverance, hope and faith – has amassed more than 148.5+ million streams, garnered both fan and critical acclaim, and further established Allen as country’s next superstar.
