The guitarist talks with SiriusXM’s Eddie Trunk
Guitarist John 5 recently spoke with Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation about the Kiss museum he is curating and upcoming Mötley Crüe Las Vegas residency.
“So I’ve been putting this together for, I mean, a couple years now for a very, very long time. And because you gotta get the location, you have to get insurance, you have to get, you know, all these things, employees and all this stuff. And, you know, finally doing the Kiss Museum and Knights in Satan’s Service Museum,” John 5 says. “And I wanted to do something really, really, really special. And so I’m going to only have six people at a time because I’m going to walk through the museum with you, answer all the questions, hang out and do all those things. So it’s going to be a very, very, very special time for the people. And also it’s going to be, we’re gonna play pinball at the end and, you know, all this really fun, fun, cool stuff. And a lot of the aficionados who are really, really into this stuff like me, you know, they can go through everything with a fine tooth comb and it, and you can hang out for hours. So it’s not just a quick, you know, walk in walk out. You can literally hang out for hours and write stuff down and check off things that you have and things that I have, you know, and talk about stuff. So it’s really something very, very special and I’m super excited for it. I can’t wait. I’m just excited just like everybody else.”
The guitarist confirms the first public tour will be in early May.
“In early May. I believe the first one is May 4th. So it’s coming up, you know, and people are coming from all over the world, man. It is totally, totally cool. Totally rad,” he shares.
John 5 says Mötley Crüe’s third residency, which was initially set for this spring, was postponed to this fall due frontman Vince Neil’s upcoming surgery.
“He’s gonna be okay. He is having a surgical procedure done and he’s gonna be good, man. We’re gonna rock it,” he says. “We are going to start rehearsal in August, and then we’re gonna go to Vegas in September…It’s gonna be so much fun. So I’m so excited because I think I’m gonna just get an Airbnb there and just, you know, enjoy, enjoy. I love Vegas. So we’re all really excited.”
