John Mellencamp has announced a newly remixed and remastered deluxe edition of his 1985 album Scarecrow for November 4th. The new version will be released on 2 CD, Half Speend 180-gram LP, Limited Edition LP and Super Deluxe Edition featuring 2 CDs, Blu-ray Audio Disc and LP.

The Super Deluxe Edition of Mellencamp’s 5x Platinum project features the original album, a full disc of rare and previously unreleased tracks, Dolby ATMOS, and new hi-resolution stereo mix of the album, plus bonus tracks in hi-resolution stereo on Blu-ray Disc, a 180-gram half-speed LP, an original picture sleeve of the “Small Town” 7-inch single, booklet, lithographs, poster and an all-new essay by Anthony DeCurtis.

The bonus material includes two previously unreleased full-length songs, three album track rough mixes, three partial-song demos, two b-sides, and a previously unreleased cover of “Shama Lama Ding Dong.”

Scarecrow yielded three US Top 10 hits and hit No. 2 on the US Albums chart.
