New song co-written with guitar performed by John Mayer

JP Saxe releases his new song, “I Don’t Miss You” via Arista Records/Sony Music Entertainment. The track is the lead single off his forthcoming album which is slated for release later this year. The highly anticipated single is produced by 2x Grammy Award winning producer Malay with co-writing and guitar by John Mayer.

“I Don’t Miss You” has a captivating concept in which Saxe invites his fans into different virtual “rooms,” each representing ways we lie to and distract ourselves, i.e, through social media, work, drugs and alcohol, numbness and sleep, and sex.

“‘I Don’t Miss You’ is me trying to lie to myself about my feelings — how I distract myself from them, how I compartmentalize them, and how I ultimately lose to them,” Saxe shares. “It was produced by Malay and features the brilliant guitar playing of my friend John Mayer. My guiding principle in my songwriting is ‘am I’m telling the truth’, so a song that’s lying to itself may seem a tad antithetical, but the truth is, trying to hide from how I feel about people is a common and futile adventure inside my head, and I’m excited for this song to bring people into that with me.”

Since September 2022, Saxe has released three acclaimed new singles, “When You Think Of Me,” “The Good Parts,” and “Moderación (Con Camilo),” which featured five-time Latin Grammy winner and two-time Grammy nominated Colombian singer-songwriter, musician, and producer, Camilo.

It was recently announced that Saxe will return as the opener for the fall leg of John Mayer’s groundbreaking Solo Acoustic Arena Tour, following the tremendous success of the winter/spring east coast run in which Saxe performed at iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden. The tour will launch with an encore performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Tuesday, October 3rd, and will run through November, ending at the iconic Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
