The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation has announced that 8x Entertainer of the Year Award-winner Kenny Chesney will headline the 2023 Tex Gala on Thursday, April 20th at 6 pm at Globe Life Field.
Individual tickets and tables for the 2023 TEX Gala are on sale now and available for purchase at texasrangers.com/texgala. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and its mission to improve the lives of children, military, first responders, and their families in the North Texas community and beyond.
Event attendees will experience a red-carpet arrival and enjoy cocktail hour and dinner on the playing surface of Globe Life Field. Live and silent auctions will feature exclusive Rangers experiences and an assortment of sports and Hollywood memorabilia. The evening will culminate in a performance from the man the Los Angeles Times called “the People’s Superstar,” Chesney.
Chesney has won eight Entertainer of the Year Awards — four consecutive from the Academy of Country Music and four from the Country Music Association — enjoyed 34 No. 1s, making him Billboard’s No. 1 Country Singles artist, and sold more than a million tickets on each of his headlining tours. His Here And Now 2022 Tour played 21 stadium shows to 1.3 million people alone.
In addition to his latest chart-topping single “Knowing You,” Chesney’s hits include “Young,” “You and Tequila,” “When the Sun Goes Down,” “Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven,” “Pirate Flag,” “Summertime,” “I Go Back,” “Somewhere With You,” “American Kids,” “Get Along” and many more.
Last year’s second annual TEX Gala, headlined by 3x Grammy Award-winning artist Darius Rucker, raised $1.85 million for the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.
