The project will be available this fall

Multi-platinum selling global superstar Khalid announces his new album, After The Sun Goes Down, releasing October 10th via Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records. In celebration, Khalid releases his upbeat, infectious new song “In Plain Sight” alongside the music video, which is directed by 91 Rules (Camila Cabello, Jon Bellion). Visually arresting and symbolically meaningful, the video celebrates Khalid’s personal and artistic evolution as he embarks into the night.

Khalid says, “This chapter is about taking my power back, living in my truth, and being able to express myself freely. I’m excited for my fans to experience this new era with me, not just musically, but personally.”

Multi-platinum selling global superstar Khalid has taken the world by storm since his first single, the RIAA-certified diamond “Location” (released right before his high school graduation) exploded onto the scene leading to a major label deal with Right Hand Music Group/RCA Records followed by the release of his debut album, the certified quadruple platinum, American Teen. His platinum-certified sophomore album Free Spirit, released in 2019, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and features the Grammy-nominated multi-format No. 1 single “Talk.”

In 2020, he was named the youngest artist to surpass 15 billion streams on Spotify alone and was named BMI’s Pop Songwriter of the Year. To close out 2021, Khalid released his Scenic Drive tape, which he describes as a companion piece to his 2018 EP Sun City. Khalid and Marshmello teamed up again on their 2022 summer hit “Numb,” making this the artist’s second collaboration following their six-time platinum smash hit “Silence” in 2017. In 2023, Khalid was featured on the official soundtrack for Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie and joined Ed Sheeran in select cities across North America on his Mathematics Tour. His 2024 third album, Sincere, showcases Khalid’s evolution as an artist and person and explores the all-too-relatable feelings of growing up.
