Emotional new single available now
Kidd G releases his big-hearted new single “Lesson Learned” via Rebel Music/Geffen Records/Valory Music Co. Showcasing the newcomer’s effortless delivery of poignant lyrics and soaring hooks, the track is a true tearjerker with a sing-along chorus. “We started out a little too young to know that a hand on the heart could be a hand on the stove,” the 20-year-old begins over mournful guitar and minimal percussion. “As we grew up and grew further apart, you picked up a shift and now I pick a guitar.” Kidd G then elaborates on the cruel twists and turns of fate on the chorus: “We rode this road until we crashed and burned… baby loving you was just a lesson learned.”
The arrival of “Lesson Learned” follows the announcement that the Hamilton, GA artist was extending his Anywhere But Home Tour through November. More than 30 new dates were added including stops in major markets such as Nashville, New York, Montreal, and Toronto.
Prior to “Lesson Learned,” the singer-songwriter gifted fans the rousing “Daylight Savings,” his first new track of 2023. It follows a meteoric rise to stardom — he hit the Billboard country charts just a few months after his 17th birthday. Kidd G has already gained over 1.5 million followers on TikTok and racked up tens of millions of views on YouTube with songs like 2022’s “People Talk.”
Kidd G closed out last year with The Nashville Sessions EP featuring twangy versions of his beloved tracks recorded at the titular town’s legendary Blackbird Studio. Now, with “Lesson Learned,” the multi-hyphenate is proudly wearing his heart on his sleeve with another colossal track destined to conquer the airwaves.
