The country star is working on his sixth studio album independently
Kip Moore has exited MCA Nashville after more than ten years. The country star shared the news on social media this week, stating he’s working on his sixth studio album independently.
“Iโve been extremely grateful for the opportunity to make records on a label like MCA over the last 10 plus years,” he writes on Instagram. “Theyโve been such a top notch team and Iโve been so lucky to have had the freedom through the years to do it my way. Promo teamโฆI canโt say enough about the rock stars each one of you are. You work tirelessly and you donโt get thanked enough. I almost stayed because of that bond alone. Luke, Mike, Cindyโฆthank you for everything. Forever grateful. Brian & good hair Joe thank you. All the staff behind the scenesโฆdigital, marketing, video, Sarah (Obama)โฆ. I appreciate all you do and did. Iโm not sure where Iโll end up (currently having those discussions & entertaining new deals), but in the meantime, doing a record completely independent for the first time in my career has been something I canโt put into words. Get fucking ready slowheartsโฆ#6 is coming.”
Moore also shares that he’s bringing his Nomad World Tour to Australia and New Zealand this fall. Returning for the fifth time and playing his biggest-ever Australian headline shows, Moore’s trek takes in nine huge headline shows in Christchurch, Auckland, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Thirroul and Brisbane in September and October.
Presale tickets are available starting on Monday, March 25th at 4 pm local time, ahead of the general on sale on Wednesday, March 27th at 4 pm local time.
Last visiting Australia and New Zealand for his sell-out 2023 headline tour, which included an epic headline performance at CMC Rocks QLD, Kip Mooreโs southern charm is as smooth as ever. With fans craving more of the genre-blending songsmith, this highly anticipated return is sure to blow roofs off arenas and theatres across the country.
Moore’s debut album, Up All Night,ย was released in 2012 via MCA. The project became an instant success achieving platinum status in the US. With millions of records sold and more than 2.9 billion streams worldwide across the following decade, Moore released his anticipated fifth studio album, Damn Love in 2023. Featuring 13 tracks that he co-produced, the album cemented him as a country music powerhouse, proving time and again his craftmanship and lyricism.
