The country sensation is set to deliver new track

Newly minted first-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and actress Lainey Wilson has announced her forthcoming and highly anticipated new track, “Country’s Cool Again,” set to release on all streaming platforms on Friday, February 16th.

With a one-of-a-kind songwriting voice spotlighting her Southern roots and upbringing, “Country’s Cool Again” bridges elements of rock, Americana, and country into a Western track coupled with Wilson’s signature flare. An ode to the 90s country lifestyle “Country’s Cool Again,” speaks to Wilson’s upbringing, bringing awareness to the Western way of life.

Co-written by the iconic Heart Wranglers, Trannie Anderson and Dallas Wilson, along with Wilson’s band leader Aslan Freeman, the track is also produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Joyce.

“I’m so excited to announce my brand-new song, ‘Country’s Cool Again.’ This past year has been a wild ride and truly shown me that country music is really loving me back,” states Wilson. “This track is an ode to my upbringing and the story of my journey in this industry – where I have been and where I am now. I’m feeling all the love from Country music fans, and I can’t wait to hear everyone singing this song back to me while we’re out on the road this year.”

With no sign of slowing down, Wilson will embark on her sophomore headlining tour next month along with a handful of festivals throughout the year. The 2024 Country’s Cool Again Tour features more than 35 dates throughout North America. Produced by Live Nation, the trek kicks off on May 31st in Nashville with Jackson Dean, Ian Munsick and Zach Top supporting. She’ll also appear at the 2024 Faster Horses Festival later this year.

Wilson has been added to the performers of the 2024 People’s Choice Awards set for Sunday, February 18th at 8 pm ET/PT on NBC, Peacock, and E! Wilson will take the stage at Santa Monica’s Barker Hangar to perform some of her biggest hits.
