Album will feature 15 tracks

Lauren Alaina will release her third studio album Sitting Pretty On Top Of The World on September 3rd via UMG Nashville. The 15 track project features both of last year’s EP’s — Getting Good and Getting Over Him — with additional tracks. Alaina is credited with co-penning 14 of the tracks.

The album includes the current Top 40 country hit “Getting Over Him,” which features Jon Pardi as well as her signature powerhouse vocals, and “Run” which addresses the rat race of life we are all on. The album also includes duets with Trisha Yearwood on “Getting Good” and Lukas Graham on “What Do You Think Of?”

It’s also been announced that Alaina will star in the film, Roadhouse Romance, which will premiere on the Hallmark Channel on September 11th. The made-for-TV movie follows Alaina as Lieutenant Callie Jackson who returns home after a military tour and expects life to pick up where it left off. Unbeknownst to her, her late grandfather’s BBQ joint is struggling and her high school sweetheart has moved on. She runs into TV director Luke (Tyler Hynes), who’s passing through town, who teachers her that sometimes it’s best to look forward instead of looking back. Alaina will perform “Run” and “What Do You Think Of?” in the film.

Alaina is also prepping to release her debut book, Getting Good At Being You: Learning to Love Who God Made You to Be, on November 2nd with Trisha Yearwood writing the Foreword. With a little bit of country, a whole lot of faith, and a healthy dose of sass, the award-winning singer-songwriter’s debut book invites fans to take the road less traveled as they step right up to who God calls you to be.

Last week, the RIAA awarded Alaina four gold plaques for her singles “Road Less Traveled,” “Doin’ Fine,” “Like My Mother Does,” and Getting Good” for sales or streams equivalent of 500k each. She was presented with the plaques backstage before a performance on the Grand Ole Opry.

“This achievement as a female in country music is such an honor,” she writes on socials. “Thank you to my fans for listening & buying the music I pour my heart into. These gold records are just as much yours.”
