Rapper pushes start of tour back to mid-August

LL Cool J has postponed the start of his The F.O.R.C.E. (Frequencies of Real Creative Energy) Live tour, his first headlining trek in 30 years. The rapper shared the news recently in an Instagram video, stating the production is still being worked out.

“As you may have heard, I rescheduled the first leg of my tour, you know what I’m saying?” the rapper says. “Production has to be right, you know what I’m saying? I got to be one percent ready, you know what I’m saying? I love my fans, you know what I’m saying? It’s got to be right. So, new dates are coming soon. Stay focused, know that I love you. I’ll see you soon. We’re gonna do this. It’s gonna be a show like you’ve never seen before, baby, promise you!”

The trek will now start on August 11th in Baltimore and wraps November 19th in Boston. New York City area dates in Brooklyn and Newark have been canceled entirely, however, the rapper will headline his Rock the Bells Festival on August 5th at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York.

The F.O.R.C.E. Live tour will be a nonstop musical mash up with artist performances interwoven within one continuous musical set backed by The Roots. Performers also include DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Z-Trip, Salt-N-Pepa, Queen Latifah, Rakim, Common, MC Lyte, Method Man & Redman, Big Boi, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Ice T, Juvenile, Doug E.
