The new version climbs at country radio
Platinum-certified duo Locash has turned their latest country radio single into a soundtrack to saying, “I do,” sharing “Hometown Home (Wedding Cake Mix)” across all digital platforms.
A suit-and-tie version of the dressed-down anthem written by Locash’s Preston Brust and Chris Lucas with Zach Abend and Andy Albert, “Hometown Home (Wedding Cake Mix)” delivers that lost-in-love feel. Featuring a wedding-style string quartet, tender piano and a new, reverent vocal blend from Brust and Lucas, it’s a hand-in-hand declaration of finding “home” in a soulmate’s eyes and starting a new life.
The heartwarming theme ties directly into the original song’s small-town soul, as the duo celebrates the magic of having all you need right where you are, and putting down roots in the place that raised you. First released in May and marking the debut single from the duo’s newly formed Galaxy Label Group, “Hometown Home” became one of the most-added singles at Country radio upon arrival and continues to make its way up the charts.
With another summer of thrills underway, Locash is currently on the road, headlining the Hometown Home Tour and preparing for a slate of massive stadium concerts. Well-known for their electric live show, featuring smash hits like the platinum “I Love This Life” plus gold No. 1s “One Big Country Song” and “I Know Somebody,” the duo has been winding their way across the country from California to Florida, New York, Wisconsin and beyond, spreading good vibes wherever they go.
The headline run continues with a stop in Quakertown, Pennsylvania, at The Univest Performance Center, with more highlight shows in the weeks to come, including a massive milestone set for tomorrow night (Sat, July 20th) at Boston’s legendary Fenway Park as part of Kane Brown’s In The Air Tour.
